Jackie Morrow

Jackie Morrow, age 89, passed away Sunday morning, September 28, 2025 at her home in Batesville, Mississippi.

Funeral services for Jackie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, Mississippi. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jackie was born on October 29, 1935 to the late Wesson Simmons and Marie McCullar Simmons in Panola County, Mississippi. She dedicated most of her life as a homemaker. Jackie took great pride in being a mother, caring for and nurturing her three children. She would occasionally help her husband with his business at the former CB Electronics in Batesville. Jackie also found great joy in cooking for her family and friends, especially around the holidays. She was an avid reader and a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.

The family she leaves behind include her three children, Bobby Wayne Morrow of Courtland, MS, Michael Glenn Morrow of Southaven, MS, and William Scott Morrow of Jackson, MS; three brothers, Bill Simmons, Luther Roy Simmons, and John Ed Simmons; and four grandchildren, Jeremy Ryan Morrow, Nathan Wayne Morrow, Nicholas Wade Morrow, and Mallory Marie Morrow.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Morrow; and two brothers, Winford Simmons and Robert Doyle Simmons.
