Jackie Lon Patraw passed away peacefully February 19, 2025 with his family by his side at the Elysian Senior Home in Lake City where he had resided since April of 2023. He was lovingly cared for there by the staff who grew to be his second family.

Jackie was born August 10, 1945 to Nellie (Gray) Patraw and Glen Patraw. He grew up in the Nelson area and lived there for most of his life. Jackie married Linda Schuh in 1968 and they had two children, Christopher and Amy. They later divorced and on October 9, 1998 he married Becky Thompson.

Jackie worked as a logger and at Fiberite in Winona before becoming a self-employed carpenter, which he continued to do until retirement. Jackie’s greatest love was spending time with his family who meant the world to him. He also enjoyed helping friends and family with projects and repairs as well as his own projects in his shop. He was always busy with something and never let his time idle to long, but still somehow always found time to talk or tell a few stories. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman who spent much of his free time in the outdoors.

Jackie is survived by his wife Becky of Pepin WI, son Christopher (Codie) Patraw of Prescott WI, daughter Amy (Chris) Meyer of Cannon Falls MN, Stepson Darrin Thompson of Pepin WI, grandchildren Jack Patraw of Rochester MN, Tony Patraw of Eau Claire WI, Noah Meyer and Owen Meyer of Cannon Falls MN, step grandchildren Cody Thompson and Caleb Thompson of New Richmond WI, great granddaughter Jocelynn Thompson of New Richmond WI, Sisters Gail VanNorman of Durand WI, Sharon Bauer of Eau Claire WI, Lou Anne (Dennis) Meixner of Arkansaw WI and his Brother Dennis Patraw of River Falls WI. He was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Nellie Patraw, his brothers Gary Patraw, Dale Patraw, Bob Patraw and Dave Patraw.

A celebration of life for Jackie will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 4 PM until 7:00 PM at the Alma Rod and Gun Club located at S1562 County Road I, Alma WI.
