Jacklyn Maines

Jacklyn Maines, 64, of Thomasville, passed away on Friday - October 17, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1961 in Shreveport, LA, to the late Jack G. Connell and Nora Faye English Connell.

Jacklyn grew up in Grand Cane, LA and Desoto Parrish, LA. She attended Logansport High School in Logansport, LA, where she was the Valedictorian of her class. After graduation she attended Northwestern State University where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Marketing and met her husband, Stewart Maines, who survives in Thomasville, and misses her dearly. She worked for Wen-Star for close to 30 years and later for Global Payments where she worked until her passing. She absolutely loved the Florida Gators and looked forward to "Game-Day" Saturdays enjoying, food, football, and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Diem, her only grandchild. Jacklyn looked forward to learning fun facts and random knowledge, you could always find her watching Jeopardy in her free time. Jacklyn will forever be missed and loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by; her husband, Stewart Maines, her two sons, Matthew Blake Maines and Adam York Maines and his wife Jennifer Maines, granddaughter, Diem York Maines, sister, Jeanne Connell, and her in-laws, John E. Maines, IV and his wife Cindy Maines, Susan Maines, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; brothers-in-law, Timothy York Maines and James Kirby Maines.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday - October 23, 2025 at Laurel Hill Cemetery at 11:00 am with Scott Shifford officiating.
