Jacklyn Oliver Obituary
worked as a nurse's aide before marrying Arthur where she then traveled with him and the family to
several Air Force Bases.
Jacklyn was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. After joining Southfield Baptist
church in Columbus Ohio, Jacklyn served as a Sunday School teacher and an Usher. She joined Mt
Hermon Baptist Church soon after it was built on Sunbury Road and was a nurse and a member of the
Golden Circle (later renamed NRB Society). She also spent time working in the nursery.
Jacklyn had many part time jobs over her lifetime including working at a shoe factory, a potato chip
factory, driving a school bus and as a lunch lady at Como Elementary School.
Never one to stay idle, Jacklyn also bowled, traveled with the family and played cards and board games.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Arthur L Oliver Jr., her parents Lessie O'Neal and
John Leeke, her sister Josephine Wade and her son, Leonard Oliver.
Jacklyn leaves to cherish her memory her sister Jewel Leeke, her daughters: Sandra and Jewel Oliver.
Her grandchildren Chad, Christian and China Oliver. Her great grandchildren Chad Jr, Chaise, Charles,
Cassey and Cali Oliver. And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

To Jackie's family: Please know that she is well loved, respected and appreciated. She is a god-fearing woman that loved her family, her church and her God. She will be truly missed. She is with the love of her life, her beloved husband. She is at peace. Her earthly presence will be missed but her character, her love and her legacy will live on forever. She was a valuable asset to all that knew her especially her church family and the NRB Missionary Society (formerly the Golden Circle). She loved her Michigan Woverines sports team. She was a joy to have as a friend. I share your pain and pray for your comfort, peace, strength, faith, and healing at this time!! Jackie loved you all to eternity and then some more!!! Keep the faith. Stay strong, Stay together. Keep her memories in your hearts forever!!
