Jackson Levi “Jack” Simpson, age 7, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025. He was born in Charlotte on August 4, 2018, to his devoted parents, Jeremy and Deonna Simpson.
Jackson was a true miracle and radiant light to everyone who knew him. Born prematurely with medical complexities, he embodied strength and perseverance from the very beginning. In his seven years, he lived with courage far beyond his age — living with several disabilities and complex needs, facing countless surgeries, surviving cancer and bravely enduring a liver transplant. Through every challenge, Jackson’s spirit remained unshakable. He carried an aura of joy and warmth that drew people in, filling every room with love, laughter, and light.
He is survived by his loving parents, Deonna and Jeremy Simpson; his grandparents, Danny and Debbie Bounds and Rudolph and Debra Simpson; and a host of aunts and uncles — Danny Bounds, Jr. (Erika), Darius Bounds (Caitlin), Desmond Bounds (Elizabeth), Dexter Bounds (Tabitha), Dayton Bounds, and Daviea Bounds. Jackson was also deeply loved by his cousins Kailyn, Paisley, Alex, Madisyn, Cayman, Kalani, Azula, Penelope, and Dexter, Jr., who each shared in the joy of his short but beautiful life
A memorial service to celebrate Jackson’s life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Elevation Church - Uptown, with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. The memorial service will be livestreamed and may by viewed below or by clicking LIVESTREAM.
