Jaclyn L. Hamill

Jaclyn L. Hamill, a beacon of love and generosity, unexpectedly passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on May 11, 1982, to the late John and Sharon Pagano (Loria), Jaclyn's life was a testament to her unwavering courage and her heart's capacity to give.
On a summer day, July 7, 2018, she married her beloved husband, Walter, and together they created a life filled with joy and laughter, welcoming their adoring son, Walter Louis, who was the light of Jaclyn's life. Her love and guidance will forever be his compass.
Jaclyn's spirit and memory are cherished by her devoted brother Kenneth and his wife Jennifer, as well as her brother-in-law Ian and his wife Jessica, her Stepfather, Christopher Mangieri, Uncle Dennis Loria and Aunt Irene, along with her cousins Rachel, Jessica and Melanie. The bond she shared with her many loving nieces and nephews-Timothy, Andrew, Nicholas, Alyssa, Matthew, Shawn, Wylee, and Samantha-was one of mutual adoration and endless fun. They will carry the joy she brought into their lives with every step they take forward.
An alumna with a Master's degree in education, Jaclyn's passion for teaching shone brightly as she nurtured young minds at Darien Public School in Connecticut. Her classroom was a haven of discovery, where every child was met with warmth and encouragement. Jaclyn's dedication to her students was mirrored in her involvement with various educational associations, where she advocated for the importance of early childhood education and the need for compassion in the classroom.
Jaclyn's approach to life was marked by her loving nature, which she extended to everyone she met. Her generosity was not just in material gifts but in the time, care, and attention she lavished on her family, friends, and students. To be courageous is not to be without fear, but to act in spite of it, and Jaclyn embodied this every day, facing challenges with a smile that could light up the darkest room.
The legacy Jaclyn leaves behind is one of unwavering love and the courage to make a difference. Her impact on the world was as profound as the void her passing leaves in our hearts. As we mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the countless ways she made our world a better place.

A prayer service to honor and celebrate Jaclyn's life will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY.
Following the prayer service, Jaclyn will be escorted to her final resting place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
