Jacob Cleo Burton

Mr. Jacob Cleo Burton was born in Durham County, Durham, NC to Mr. William Burton, Jr and Mrs. Lucinda Whitted Burton on January 11, 1965. As a Generation X baby, Jacob was resourceful, independent and could easily balance a good work ethic with a laid-back attitude.
He was educated in the Orange County School system, where he was a participant on the wrestling team and was later gainfully employed with Cambro Manufacturing. Jacob was a natural born cowboy, serving as an active member of the Cedar Grove Cowboys of North Carolina, enjoying trail rides and rodeos. His other favorite past-times were spending time with family and friends, enjoying the car races at the Piedmont Drag Strip, especially the Chevys, watching the Washington Redskins (Commanders) and UNC Tarheels.
The life and legacy of Jacob Cleo Burton "JB" will be forever cherished by his daughter, Chevy Channel Burton; grandkids, Javion Rankin, Javaya Rankin, Darnell Thomas, Jr. and Nazir "The Great" Thomas; Courtney Lambert who was like a daughter to him; siblings, Ronnie Burton (Faith), Jeff Burton (Linda), Juanita Burton, Sylvester Burton (Cassandra), Sonya Whitted, Sophia Burton, Calus Wilson (Beverly), Melissa Robinson (Anthony), Cheryse Burton and Daryl Harrison; one aunt, Georgia Cates and two great aunts, Carolyn Torain and Geneva Torain; The Pherribo Family; very dear friends, Danny Poole, Wendy Bradsher, Clinton Foust, Bryant Jones, Arthur Poole and Thea Whitted and along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Burton "Duck".
