Jacob Crook

Jacob Gerald Crook, 24, of Muscoda formerly of Richland Center died way too soon, on Monday, January 20, 2025 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was known as Jacob, Jake, Jakey or Jakearang; but his favorite title was Uncle Jakey. Born on April 3, 2000, in Dodgeville Wisconsin; Jake was raised in the Richland Center area and attended the Richland School District; graduating in 2018. Jake most recently bought a home and resided in Muscoda Wisconsin.
Jake loved all things sports and at one time or another participated in baseball, football, basketball, wrestling, and track. Football was his passion to play while he loved watching his older brothers wrestle-he never missed a meet or tourney. While in school, Jake also participated in Band, playing the trombone under the guidance of a band director he loved.
Jake loved animals and would have rescued them all but settled for Sunny, Coraline, Maple, Thumper and Lilah. He was an avid sportsman and could be found on the river fishing or in the woods hunting. Jake's huge heart, gigantic smile and eccentric sense of humor touched everyone he met. He was always willing to lend a hand or shoulder to anyone who needed it.
The loss of Jacob has left a huge hole in many hearts.
He left behind his mother, Amy (Jim Hein) Hoffman;
father, Jeff (Tyna Dull-Crook) Crook,
brothers; Jeff (Brianna) Crook, Josh (Brianna Crostenberg) Crook, Kevin Hoffman, Jeremy (Desirae) Crook, and Kaleb (Allison Sterba) Crook;
step-sisters Destiny Dull and Tezera Crook;
grandparents Delores and Pete Way and Nancy and Joe Brokish;
nephews and nieces; Liam, Connor, Rohnen, Carter, Jordan, Val, Athena, Kameron, Hudson and Hadley;
along with special friend and huge piece of his heart, Haley McNamer;
Jacob also left behind his second set of brothers, whom he loved with his whole heart: Jacob Spohnholtz, Sam Hart, Evan Thomas, Alex Slaman, Brock Gunderson, and Lester Brown.
Jacob-you will forever be missed and will remain in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, your memory will remain alive in all you left behind. Fly high our sweet boy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to donate to Ocooch Mountain Humane Society in Jake's memory. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
