Jake served in the US Navy and US Air Force and retired after 28 years of service to his country taking his wife and family to numerous duty locations around the world. After serving in the military, Jake went on for a second career as a teacher for the Aurora Colorado Public Schools teaching the Heating and Air Conditioning Service program at Pickens Technical College in Aurora, Colorado where he developed many friendships with other teachers and students. While teaching school Jake completed his Masters of Education Degree at Colorado State University.
Jake enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time helping his community where he and Susan volunteered their time at the Children's Hospital of Aurora. Jake was always one who would eagerly help out his family and friends.

The Gallik Family,
I'm sorry to hear of Jake's passing. I know he will surely be missed but will live within your hearts and memories forever. He never hesitated to help anyone and no matter what time of day. As you know he would grumble from time to time as it took away from his time staying late at Pickens to grade some more papers or prep for the days ahead. He typically was the last to leave the building as he loved what he did-Helping students succeed! He was also a proud Veteran and stood tall for the Red, White, and Blue

Jake was my HVAC Instructor at Pickens Technical Center back in 1995.
