Jacob D. Klomp

Jacob Dennis Klomp "Jake", age 28, passed away on October 25, 2025. He was born July 2, 1997, in Detroit, MI.
Jacob was known for his contagious laugh that could fill a room and echo for miles. He was a loving son to Karl and Barbara, an attentive brother to Alexandra (Devin), and a devoted life partner to Nour. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Hildegard Klomp, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends.
Jake was a man of many passions and talents. He grew up swimming for the Macomb YMCA Marlins and Fraser High School, worked on cars, jet skis and motorcycles, sang his heart out during karaoke sessions, and loved to fish. He was an accomplished auto designer, a history buff, a lover of music, movies and all things art, and an adventurous spirit with a heart of gold.
A lifelong learner, Jacob always sought out new knowledge and experiences. His curiosity was as boundless as his kindness.
He made it his mission to bring joy to everyone around him. Jake was the life of every party and lit up every room he entered. His absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Even in death, Jacob's generosity lives on, bringing hope to others through the Gift of Life.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maureen and Dennis Knoll and Edward Klomp.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Arthur J. Van Lerberghe Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St John Lutheran Church in Fraser.
