James Pridgen officiating.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City.
Jacob, son of Jackie Jay Sanes and Teresa Lynn White Sanes, was born February 28, 1990, at Fort Hood, TX.  After high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps and served his country in the United States Army serving and fighting in the Afghanistan Campaign. He was employed as a Maintenance Technician at Fort Moore School District responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all school facilities on the base.
The family remembers him as a caring and kind person to everyone he met. He was a friend to all and never said no to anyone in need of his help. He had the best sense of humor and loved to laugh and make everyone around him laugh. His main focus in life was centered on his two sons that he loved immensely. Every decision he made was done to ensure his boys would have the best quality of life possible. He was very proud of them and showered us all with daily pictures and videos of them laughing and enjoying life to the fullest. Jacob was a Christian and a Baptist by faith and expressed his love of God every day in everything he did.
Jacob loved college football and would spend his Saturdays during the fall watching football and wearing his red and black while yelling “GO DAWGS!” He was a member of Crunch Fitness and the YMCA where he spent hours sculpting his body and keeping himself in top physical shape. He loved listening to music and showing his singing talent whenever he got the chance.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Peter L., and Merita M. White; paternal grandfather, Jack D. Sanes; paternal step grandmother, Pat L. Sanes; and a brother, Joshua Ryan Sanes.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Jackie and Teresa Sanes of Salem, AL; his loving fiancé and mother of their son Grayson, Ashley Brundage of Smiths Station, AL; mother of his son Kamden and lifelong friend, Alissa Marie East Sanes of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Kamden Sanes, and Grayson Sanes; two sisters, Danielle Sanes of Crawford, AL, and Jackie Elizabeth Sanes of Columbus, GA; two brothers, James Joshua Sanes and his wife Tiffany of Phenix City, AL, and Jason Matthew Sanes of Salem, AL; paternal grandmother, Polly M. Henderson of Columbus, GA; two nieces, Hannah and Victoria; seven nephew’s, Chase, Ryan, Carson, Jeremiah, Elisha, Liam, and Kason, and many other loving relatives and friends.
