Sally C. Sanes - born March 28, 1948 went home to be with our Lord and Heavenly Father on October 24, 2024. Sally was of the Pentecostal faith and loved the Lord with all her heart.
Sally "Boots" worked as a cook all her life at several local restaurants. She managed restaurants at the Atlanta airport where she met many celebrities including Andre the Giant. Sally loved everyone and was loved by so many. If you knew Sally, you knew she loved to cook and feed everyone.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Johnny "Dan" Sanes; daughter, Cathy Murwin; grandson, Bryan Mullins; parents, James and Iva McKenzie; sisters: Mary Foshee, Sharon Evans, Helen McKenzie, and Trula Stinnett; nephew, David McKenzie.
Survived by her daughter, Tammy Sanes Cannady; sons, Johnny and Frankie Sanes; grandchildren: Daniel Mullins (Jennifer), Heather Jones, Natasha Sanes, Mathew Sanes, Christopher Sisson, Shelby Reynolds, Trevor Reynolds, Lauren Sanes, and Zach Sanes along with many great-grandchildren; brother, C. L. Foshee; sisters, Iva Jean Lowe (Gary), and Evelyn Moser; sister-in-law, Donnetta Salster; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Covenant Homecare and Hospice for all the excellent care provided to Sally and her family during this difficult time.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 28th in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Military honors will also be conferred for her husband, Johnny D. Sanes who died September 24, 2022, as they will be laid to rest together. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be help with funeral expenses.
