Jacob Tessin

Jacob Lee Tessin was born on December 7, 1986 in Grafton, North Dakota, to Noreen Thompson and Timothy Tessin. He grew up near Grafton and Orr. He graduated from Midway Public School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. After his son, Bryce, was born Jake enjoyed spending time with him, camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling to places like Stump Lake.
Jake loved playing basketball and baseball growing up, and he enjoyed watching his son play soccer and other sports. Jake also liked playing cards and video games. He enjoyed spending time with his family and riding motorcycle with his dad, Tim, and step-dad, Ray. Jake was a softball player, coach, and umpire, as well as an avid bowler who was well known within the local leagues. Jake had a sense of humor, a love for everyone, and he was always willing to help anyone. Jake is going to be missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim (Barb) Tessin, Carol Tessin, Caroline (Max) Dolney, Norman Thompson, and Jack & Diane Jorstad; and uncle, Adam Tessin.
Jake is survived by his son, Bryce Tessin; mother, Noreen (Nick Sykes) Brune; father & bonus-mom, Tim & Nikki Tessin; grandmother, Wanda Thompson; brother & sister-in-law, Pete & Heather Tessin; niece & nephew, Wyatt and Libbie Tessin; brothers, Sean Brune, Phillip Brune, and Keenan Eigenheer; sister, Jalynn Eigenheer; nephew, Ashton Eigenheer; step-dad, Ray Brune; many cousins, aunts & uncles, and other family members & friends; his softball and bowling families; and of course Bandit (a.k.a. Stubby).
CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be from 3:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Avenue NW, East Grand Forks, Minnesota. A time for SHARING OF MEMORIES will be at 4:00p.m.
Jake was not a man to dress up, so please feel free to attend the service in comfortable clothing: shorts and softball jerseys, hoodies and t-shirts.
