Duane passed away Tuesday August 5, 2025, at the age of 68 years. He was born March 22, 1957, in Saginaw, the son of the late Walter and Helen (Smith) Tessin.
Duane was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hemlock, he loved going to tractor pulls, camping and fishing. He also loved mowing lawns on his John Deere lawn tractor, helping at church, helping family and friends with whatever he could do from physical labor or lending his truck or just giving rides for work or for appointments.
Surviving Duane is his siblings, Daryl and Jane Tessin of Hemlock, Dawn and Wayde Cochran of Mission, Texas; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Tessin and Jeff McCutcheon of Saginaw, Angie and Adam Trinklein of Saginaw, Shawnie Klemm of Clinton Township, Matthew and Vickie Cochran of Mission, Texas, Mitchell and Chelsea Cochran of Springtown, Texas; great-nieces and nephews; Jared and Jessica Murphy of St Charles, Jessica Murphy and Edward of Saginaw, Taylar Klemm of Clinton Township, Austin Trinklein of Saginaw, Aidan Trinklein, Eliza Cochran of Texas, Chloe Cochran of Texas, Conor Cochran of Texas, and Jace Cochran of Texas. Duane was a Godfather to Shawnie, Matthew, Mitchell, and Taylar. Duane was predeceased by his sister Denise Martin.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25 at Midland Memorial Gardens 565 N. Meridian Rd. Midland, Michigan 48640.
