Jacqueline (Jackie) Helen (Janov) Kopnick, 86, passed away on November 12, 2024, in Ironwood, MI. She was born on May 23, 1938, Jackie spent her life enriching the lives of those around her through her vibrant personality and caring nature.
Jackie graduated from Luther L Wright High School in 1956.
Jackie was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Ironwood, where her faith and community involvement were cornerstones of her life. She loved going to breakfast often with all her friends. Her hobbies included painting, bingo, golfing, senior center activities, shopping, and travel, each of which brought her boundless joy and allowed her to express her lively character.
Jackie was a very loving and caring person who did anything she could for family and friends. Jackie always remembered everyone's birthdays and anniversaries; she was always there or just a phone call away if you needed her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Kopnick, and her children, Lori Decker of New Port Richey, FL; Mark (Susan) Rajala of Broomfield, CO; Brian (Dana) Rajala of Woodbury, MN; and Dale (Tonia) Rajala of Solon Springs, WI. Jackie was a cherished grandmother to Jenny (Ryan Kurth) Benedicto, Paula Schneider, Jaclyn (Eric) Eggen, Derek Decker, Codie Rajala, Tyler Rajala, Kristin Rajala, Zach Rajala and Kylli Rajala; and great-grandmother to Antony Benedicto, Liliana Benedicto, Gracie Bell, Conner Bye, Landon Eggen, Grayson Eggen, Lilah Eggen, Kade Eggen, and Emery Holderness. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Nault.
A Mass in celebration of Jackie's life will be held at a later date.
Her life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
