Jacqueline M. Fisher, affectionately known as "Jackie," passed away on June 2, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after succumbing to her multiple illnesses and taking her last breaths surrounded by family. Jackie was born on January 12, 1961, to the late Charles "Jack" and Mabel Wilkerson in Baltimore, Maryland.
Jackie was employed with NSW/Conwed Plastics where she worked as a lead operator for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Ray; son, Benjamin; and brother, Steve Wilkerson.
She will be remembered by her children, Scott (Stephanie), Josh, and Amanda; grandchildren, Jeramiah Craghead, Zachariah Craghead, Stephon Frontus, and Rosalie Fisher; brother, Larry (Grace) Wilkerson; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Per her wishes, there will be a private ceremony for close family members.
Thank you to everyone who was a friend to our mother. We are forever grateful for the impact you made on her life.
Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit and Carilion Clinic Hospice at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the time they spent with Jackie, even though it was short, and the care they gave during the heartbreaking final moments of Jackie's life.
"Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean."
