Jacqueline "Jackie" F. Stovall (affectionately known as "Nana") was born on June 27, 1948, in Jesup, Georgia to Earlene and DeWitt Fuquay. After graduating from Wayne County Training School in Jesup, Georgia, Jackie moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she met and married the late, Robert J. Stovall. The two were successful business owners and loving parents. Jackie became a member of St. John Holiness Church and was baptized by Bishop A.J. Myles at an early age.
She enjoyed being surrounded by family, exchanging childhood stories with her siblings, watching sports with her
grandchildren or sharing her words of wisdom to anyone that needed it. Her smile alone would brighten anyone's day. Jackie wore many hats, as a wife, mother, teacher, counselor, life coach and a cook so many specialty dishes. She cooked from the heart, and it radiated through her food.
Jackie also enjoyed live streaming with Pastor Mark Baker and the congregation of Greater Works Than These Ministries,
who she affectionately referred to as her virtual church family.
Jackie peacefully entered eternal rest on June 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stovall; parents, DeWitt and Earlene Fuquay; her sisters, Sandra F. Wright and Mary Trice; her brothers, Joe Reddish, Donald Reddish and Artis Reddish; and her grandsons, LaJarveus Lanier and Jakari Reddish.
She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy; her son, Antonio (Felicia) Fuquay, Sr.; daughters, Valerie Fuquay, Yolanda Stovall, Nakisha (Carlos) Duncan, Shakira Stovall (Maurice) and Dana Bobbitt (like a daughter); her siblings, Linda (M.J.) Wilkerson, Ronald Reddish, Fannie (Cornell) Shaw, Judy Jackson, Marcia Foster and Mike (Lorraine) Fuquay; Grandchildren, Antonio Fuquay, Jr., Ahkilah (Sylvester) Weatherspoon, Roberto Benyard, Aamir Walker, Cainan Ellis, Jamila Thomas, Christal Stovall, Shan'Torre Tillman, DeAngelo Fuquay, Ta'Khiya Fuquay, Jacquin Stovall, Janasia Smith and Chloe Duncan; 19 Great-Grandchildren, a godson, Rafael (Maria) Shaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss her dearly.
