Jacque Killmon, 73, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on March 17th, 2025. Born
on February 17th, 1952, she lived her entire life on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, the place she
dearly loved.
Jacque often recalled fond memories she held of her childhood and the treasured time
spent at her grandparent’s farmhouse, always full of her many relatives. She remained close to
her family members throughout her life. Siblings, cousins, and her beloved aunts were her
greatest friends.
Jacque met and married the love of her life, Buzzy Killmon, after graduating from
Northampton High School in 1970. Buzzy and Jacque raised their three children in Nassawadox,
where Jacque worked as an X-ray technician for Northampton Memorial Hospital and Eastern
Shore Physicians and Surgeons Office. She enjoyed her job and loved her coworkers.
She was a warm and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very proud of her
family and showed her love in countless ways.
Jacque was a talented cook who could prepare a bountiful Southern meal like no other,
and set the table to impress! If you were coming for a family dinner, your favorite dish would
be included even if it meant serving three main dishes along with a dozen sides.
Jacque had faith in the Lord which comforted her during her battle with cancer. Heaven has
gained the sweetest angel with the most beautiful smile.
Jacque was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Carpenter and Marie Turner. She is
survived by her loving husband, Buzzy Killmon; her three children, Mary Elizabeth Killmon
(Dave) of Cape Charles, Virginia, Anna Marie Malik (Andy) of Bellehaven, Virginia, and Jason
Davis Killmon (Ann) of Lamar, Missouri; one brother, Adrian Carpenter (Kathy) of Bayford,
Virginia; and one sister, Martha Paige Davis (Mark) of Dayton, Tennessee; eight grandchildren,
Kaleb Long (Megan), Aiden Malik, Weylin Malik, Jack Killmon, Laila Killmon, Holiday
McCormack, Bear McCormack, and Birdsong McCormack, several nieces and nephews and
cousins. She was expecting her first great-grandchild to be born in September to Kaleb and
Megan.
