Mrs. Kathryn Lea Killmon

Kathryn Lea Killmon (65) of Eldersburg, MD passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2025 at BridgingLife Hospice (formerly Carroll Hospice-Dove House).

Kathryn was born March 9th, 1960 in Baltimore, MD to the late Franklin Milton Zoeller and Juanita (Zoeller) Baker. She was married for 41 years to Thomas Eugene Killmon.

Kathy was raised in Parkville, MD where she graduated from Loch Raven High School (1978). She then went to Towson Stratford where she received her secretarial certificate and started her medical career, transcribing for doctors offices. Her love of medicine continued when she got her nursing degree from CCBC-Essex (1995) and Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University (2006). She worked at Northwest Hospital for 10+ years and various other medical centers, locally, and retired as a hospice nurse from Seasons Hospice.

Kathy had a strong faith in God and attended Wesley Freedom UMC in Eldersburg and has attended since 1996. She taught Sunday School and confirmation classes, and attended bible studies and church retreats. She loved all kinds of music and had a beautiful voice that she shared in church choirs throughout her life. Kathy loved spending time with family and friends.

Along with her husband, Tom, she is survived by her loving children Kristin Killmon and Jeremy Killmon, and the light of her life grandson, Liam McAlevey, and her brother, Franklin Scott Zoeller.

The family invites you to a funeral service scheduled on Tuesday, November 25th 2025, at 11am at Wesley Freedom UMC 961 Johnsville Rd Eldersburg (Sykesville), MD 21784. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association and/or BridgingLife Hospice (Dove House).
