Jacqueline "Jackie" Lynn King of Selma passed away July 10, 2025 at the age of 72. She was born in Illinois on April 12, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean Eby; father, Bob Burns; grandparents, William Miles, Mary Ellen Gisler and Jack Gisler; sisters, Lavonna Burns, Kathy Ball, Dawn Phillips and Kathleen Bienemann; father-in-law, John Thomas King and niece, Barbara Ball.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry Keith King; daughters, Julie (Michael) House, Kelly (Chris) Melton and Casey (Jud) Hewston; grandchildren, Baylee Makenzie House, Mary Karson Melton, Gavin Keith Hewston, Parker Jud Hewston and John Thomas Hewston; siblings, Billie (Rob) Hoxsie, Lawanna (Vinnie) Hunckier, Mark Burns, Tammy (Devin) Clenndenny, Troy (Yvonne) Eby; sister-in-law, Barbara (Greg) Straight; brother-in-law, Kenny (Alice) King and mother-in-law, Beulah King as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. The funeral will be live streamed on the funeral home's Facebook page.
Pallbearers will be Michael Whitlock, Shane Burns, Brian King, Gavin Hewston, Parker Hewston, John Thomas Hewston. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth King, Gregory Straight, Mark Burns, Troy Eby, Devin Clenndenny and Zachary Singh.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health Care, SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice, Prattville Baptist Cancer Center, Selma Medical Associates and a very special thank you to Debbie Breland, Christine Tabb, Amy Harris Ray, Charlotte Desch, Anastasia Lee, Tianna Shelby and all the family and friends who stayed in prayer for the family.
