Jacqueline Rheadawn Puetz

Jacqueline Rheadawn Puetz, 96, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024 surrounded by family at Cumberland Pointe Health Center in West Lafayette, IN. Jackie was born on September 18, 1927 in Sheldon, Illinois to the late Max and Beulah Mabbitt. She married Edmund Puetz in 1948 who preceded her in death.
Jackie was devoted to family and especially coveted the family Christmas gatherings. She was a modest but elegant lady with the sweetest smile who was known for her culinary skills much to the delight of her children and grandchildren. Jackie was an avid reader throughout her life who enjoyed to garden, and would welcome a good euchre game whenever she could. Not only did she love her children and grandchildren she adored her pets as well. She was a woman of faith and was a member of the Otterbein Catholic church.
Jackie is survived by her sons John Puetz of North Carolina, Douglas (Michelle) Puetz of California, Richard (Cindy Hartung) Alston of North Carolina, R. Maxwell (Patricia) Puetz of West Lafayette, Randy (Arlene) Puetz of West Lafayette and daughter in law Deborah Puetz of Lafayette, 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Jackie is also survived by her siblings Juel Harris, Nancy Martin, Robert (Treva) Mabbitt, Richard (Lexi) Mabbitt and Bill (Terry) Mabbitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Matthias Puetz, daughter in law Nanci (John) Puetz, brothers Pete and Rudy Mabbitt and sisters Mary Pasco and Betty Milam.
The family would like to thank the nurses, staff, hospice, and therapists at Cumberland Pointe Health Center for all their love and care.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM (EST) to 12:00 AM (EST) Friday, February 2, 2024 at Gerts, Windler, and Keller Funeral Home Fowler Chapel. Interment to follow at the Fowler Cemetery.
