Jacqueline “Jackie” Karen Rice, 72, of Wooster, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Jackie was born July 28, 1953, in Wooster, Ohio to John J. and Grace R. {Scott} Honabarger. She graduated from Malone College with a degree in Real Estate and Finance. Jackie was a top multi-million-dollar realtor with Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty. She attended Wooster Foursquare Church. She was a strong independent woman of many talents that went as far as working on cars to doing plumbing and electrical work. Jackie was a very caring, giving, compassionate person. Jackie was a single mother who raised her two daughters, Sherry and Misty. She was the best mother anyone could ask for. Jackie loved country music and had a strong work ethic. Although Jackie had health issues, she kept a positive attitude and never gave up.
Jackie will be deeply missed by her partner Kenneth Friend; children Sherry Ann Wharton of Wooster, Misty Blue (Jeremy) Green of Wooster, Haley Smith of Wooster, and stepdaughter Daisy Friend of Wooster; grandchildren Shannon J Jr., Jeromy Green, Jordan Green, and step-grandson Cameron Friend of Wooster; brothers John, Jerry, Ken Honabarger, Ronald Harris; sisters Cheryl Woodruff, Carolyn Bevington; previous husbands Duane R Hensel, and Sunny Rice.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Donald Greenwood, parents, sisters Norma Otto, Nancy Russell, Shirley Miller, Marilyn Levers, Janet Durbin.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
