Jacqueline Stath Obituary
She was born on July 21, 1952, to Edward and Eloise (Thies) Goetz. Jacqueline married Edward Stath on Sept. 12, 1981, and he survives.
Jacqueline graduated from Kankakee Valley High School with the Class of 1971. A devoted homemaker, she was also an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Augustine Christian Women. Known for her love of gardening, cross-stitching, playing bingo, cooking, and baking, Jacqueline found joy in these creative pursuits. She was a dedicated volunteer at both the church and St. Augustine Catholic School, earning the endearing nickname "the popcorn lady".
Jacqueline is survived by her loving husband, Edward, and their daughters, Kristin (Roberto) Villegas, Rensselaer, and Amanda (Ryan) Heninger, Lafayette. She was a cherished grandmother to Mateo, Jackson, Noah, Bodie, Kennedy, and Beckett. Additionally, Jacqueline is remembered fondly by her siblings, Donald (Cheryl) Goetz, Demotte, Pamela (Steve) Whited, Demotte, Anita (Jim) Bowers, Painesville, Ohio, and Sharon Smith, Valparaiso.
A visitation will be held at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 2 – 7 p.m. CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. CT at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Peter Lewitzke officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery of Rensselaer.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to St. Augustine Catholic School or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Jackie was a sweet lady. She was our neighbor growing up. She babysat for me and my younger sister. They lived right across the street from my family, we all played together as neighbors. Her sister Sharon was one of my best friends. God bless you all . She will always be remembered in our family. Love you all.
