Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Wagner, 75, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, with her family by her side. Born May 15, 1950 in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence “Red” Gearhart and Lucille Bibbie Gearhart.
Jackie was a 1968 graduate of Chief Logan High School in Lewistown, PA. She was employed most of her career as a Civil Service Administrator with the Department of the Army and the Department of Defense until her retirement in May of 2009. Jackie’s passion was supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended their sporting events and loved hosting family gatherings at her home. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and also throughout Europe during her husband’s overseas deployments. Jackie also enjoyed birdwatching and snuggling with her dog Teddy.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas H. Wagner, Sr., whom she married on January 27, 1968; two children, Tom Wagner, Jr. (Angela) of Ocean View, DE, and Shannon Raines (Nelson) of Chambersburg, PA; five granddaughters, Lauren Collier (Sean) of Chambersburg, PA, Mallory Wolff (Judd) of Philadelphia, PA, Hannah Raines of Philadelphia, PA, Olivia Wagner of Ocean View, DE, and Emma Wagner of Williamsport, PA; two great grandchildren, Sutton Collier and Beckhym Collier; four siblings, Larry Gearhart of Yeagerstown, PA, Linda Brittain (Dennis) of Siglerville, PA, Joann Lynn (Greg) of Reedsville, PA, and Steve Gearhart of Lewistown, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation at www.curemeso.org, or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
