D. Elwood Myers

Donald Elwood Myers, 94, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Wellspan Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA. He was born on December 24, 1930, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Donald A. and Amber E. (Johnson) Myers.

He was a 1949 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, a member of Orrstown United Brethren Church in Orrstown, PA, and a Life Member of the St. Thomas Township Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company. In his early life he worked for Chris Miller Orchard’s, and worked in farming and agriculture. He then went on to become the St. Thomas Township Supervisor, worked for the PA State Roads Department in the St. Thomas District, Drove a truck for Horn’s Motor Express, and most recently drove a rollback truck for Mason Dixon Auto Auctions until he was 86 years old. In his free time, he enjoyed playing and singing gospel bluegrass music.

He is survived by his son Curtis Myers (Linda) of Chambersburg, PA; stepson Richard Bacigaluppi (Sandra) of Myakka City, FL; stepdaughter Donna Smith (Kenny) of Thurmont, MD; stepdaughter Debra Bacigaluppi of Thurmont, MD; stepdaughter Lea Favorite (Tony) of Thurmont, MD; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Faye Golden of Chambersburg, PA; brother Edward Myers (Barb) of Chambersburg, PA; and companion Ruby Witmer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two wives Doris M. (Kump) Myers and Shirley A. (Waldow) Myers, brother John Myers, and sister June Small.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202, with Pastor Ronald Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Air Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
