Randall Lee Brookens

Randall L. Brookens, 67, of Waynesboro, PA went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2025. He passed away peacefully at his home in the presence of his loving wife Lisa (Cook) Brookens. Born December 29, 1957, he was the son of Gordon and Sally Brookens of Fayetteville, PA. He graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1976. He worked for ITE Fire Apparatus in Hagerstown, MD (1979 to 2015) and ITE Fire Apparatus in Marion, PA (2016 to 2025). Randy was a very active person. Up until the time of his illness, he was an avid hunter and was still playing competitive softball and trail riding on his dirt bikes. In his younger years he raced motocross, and then for many years he was crew chief to the Jim Brookens #11 Micro Sprint Car Racing Team. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his stepson, Ryan Cook (Arianna) and two grandchildren CJ and Nora of Lynchburg, VA, his two sisters, Annette (Steve) Szady, Chambersburg, PA and Julie Brookens, Fayetteville, PA and his beloved brother Jim (Tina) Brookens, Shippensburg, PA. He also had three very special friends (Doug, Kevin and Alex) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Marion Fire Company, 5465 Molly Pitcher Highway, Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Ron Cook officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service. Please feel free to dress casually for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Marion Fire Company in Randy's memory.
