Thomas Paul Brookens, 82 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
Thomas was born on June 22, 1942 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Columbus Royal and Betty (Brookens) Royal.
Thomas served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He retired from Windsor Coal Company as a miner. Many will remember Thomas for his love of music and being cool; but most of all, Thomas was liked by so many and always having a joke.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Royal and Randall Taylor, former wife, Beatrice Brookens and a step son, Terry Primis.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Robin Coleman and husband, LeJuan of Pickerington, OH, three brothers, Gerald Royal and wife, Vickie of Wellsburg, WV, Mike Royal and wife, Hallie and David Royal and wife, Shirley of Dallas, TX, two sisters, Bonnie Aldridge and husband, Jessie of Cleveland, OH and Ruth Gregory and husband, Nathaniel of Weirton, WV, three step-sons, Kevin Primis and wife, Tracy of Wellsburg, WV, Benji Primis and wife, Deborah of Erie, PA and David Primis of Key West, FL, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a great great grandson, and a host nieces and nephews, friends and extended family members.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of Homegoing at 12 Noon at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551, with Reverend Greer of Henderson Chapel AME, presiding.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV with Military Honors.
