Bob Brookens, 57, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Waterbury, VT. He was born on November 20, 1967, in Chambersburg, PA. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Mary Beth (Hart) and Miguel Castillo, Steelton, PA; children, Maya Grace Brookens, CA, Xavier Coltrane Brookens, VT, and Caleb Sebastian Brookens, VT; aunts and uncles, Rebecca Pickett (Jonathan), John Hart (Nancy), and Paula Stuard (Craig); and numerous cousins and close friends. He is predeceased by his beloved son, Eli Jonah Brookens, and his grandparents, John and Martha Hart.

Bob graduated from CASHS in 1985. He had a BA in Music Performance from West Chester University and an MS in Music Therapy from Temple University. He was a certified music therapist. Bob did therapeutic and counseling work for various organizations. He was actively involved in his community by coaching youth sports for many years.

He was an accomplished musician, having toured with Chubby Checker in the US and Australia. He played for many bands in the Philadelphia area and in Vermont. He was an avid sportsman and sports fan, especially his Eagles. He enjoyed spending time with his family at OBX and skiing in the West and Vermont. He contributed to his community and had a real passion for everything he did, and always gave from his heart.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, P.O. Box 139, Killington, VT 05751. The Perkins Parker Funeral Home in Waterbury, VT, assisted the family with arrangements.
