David A. Brookens

David Brookens, a man of profound faith and love, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025. Born on April 28, 1966, David's life was a testament to the power of courage, the depth of love, and the strength of conviction.
Raised in Topeka, David was a proud graduate of Topeka West High School.
He was marked by loyalty and being a faithful friend and carried these values throughout his career, working with the State of Kansas and HyVee, where his colleagues revered him for his steadfast work ethic and his unwavering integrity.
Church was the cornerstone of David's life, and he found his greatest joy in the company of his beloved Lifepoint Church family.
David's passion for live music was eclipsed only by his devotion to worshipping his Savior, Jesus. His faith was his compass, guiding him through life's trials and triumphs with grace and humility. Those who knew David were inspired by his faith-filled journey, finding comfort in his unwavering trust in a higher plan.
A loving friend, a faithful servant, and a courageous soul, David's legacy is etched in the hearts of those he touched. His life was a living embodiment of his core values. To be in David's presence was to feel the warmth of his love, to witness the strength of his faith, and to be moved by the courage of his convictions.
David Brookens will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories of his friends, and all who had the privilege to know him. His journey on earth has ended, but his story of love, faith, and courage-will live on.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday May 12th, 10:30am at Lifepoint Church.
