Sarah Evelyn Snowberger

Sarah Evelyn Snowberger (Sally) passed away peacefully October 10, 2025, at the age of 80. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Norman Snowberger, Sr. (Skip), whom she was together with for more than 70 years.
She was raised in Chambersburg, PA. A graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, she worked as seamstress at Stanley Company, and Assistant Aquatic Director at the Chambersburg YMCA as well as the diving team coach. She enjoyed teaching children to swim and dive. She developed an Aquatic exercise program with the National Capitol YMCA and worked with the Special Olympics Aquatic program. In 1980 she moved to Maryland with her husband and children where she worked as Aquatic Director for the YMCA of Silver Spring and Columbia Association. Sally worked in an office for a few years but then decided she wanted to work with helping people and she started working in real estate. This led her to working closely with Seniors and Anne Arundel County Housing commission. She had a passion for helping seniors find affordable housing and/or selling their homes when they couldn't stay in the home any longer. She worked with a law firm that worked closely with seniors and helping to avoid foreclosure.
After retirement, Sally and Skip moved back to PA and enjoyed sewing, crafts gardening and going to the gym with her best friend, Pam. She had a giant heart and would take in any animals she could. Sally loved her children and grandchildren and loved any opportunity to spend time with them. She would do whatever she could for her family and friends.
Sally is survived by her three children: Norman Snowberger, Jr (Sharon), Nancy Doong, and Larry Snowberger (Beth). Also survived by her two grandchildren, Chelsea DuBey (Michael) and Emily Snowberger. As well as her great grandson, William DuBey.
Also survived by her brother, William (Eddie/Bill) Alcorn(Diane) and two sister-in-laws Martina (Teenie) and Barb.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Sellers Funeral Home at 1:45 p.m. with interment to follow at Falling Spring Graveyard. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
