It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jacqueline Williams, who left us peacefully on 9/1/25 at home at the age of 63.

Born on 12/13/61 in Roxboro, NC, Jackie moved to Newark, NJ in 1975. She attended Shabazz High School, but graduated from Irvington High School later on. She worked at Whole Foods Market for 30 years and retired December 2024. Jackie lived a life full of love, strength, and grace. She was a devoted daughter, sister, longtime companion, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her unwavering support and selflessness made her the heart of our family.

Jackie found joy in knitting, cooking and coloring. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, gentle wisdom, sense of humor and spicy sarcasm.

Jacqueline is survived by her longtime companion Richard Lawrence Jackson, 3 children: Bianca J. Williams, Niles C. Williams (Miesha) and Shakemma L. Godley (Tommy), 6 grandchildren: Jaquil Williams, Janiyah Williams, Jeremyah Cooper, Jakai Williams, Journee Cooper and Madison Cheeks, 7 siblings: Dorothy Williams, Ivory Williams Jr., Brenda Nelson, Wanda Williams, Curlie Williams- Silvers (Michael), Wendy Underwood and Kiva Williams. Along with a host other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory and carry forward her love. She is preceded in death by her parents Ivory Williams Sr. and Lizzie Williams.
