Jacquelyn Sue Cloud

Jacquelyn S. Cloud, age 70 of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was born October 29, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to parents James and Marjorie (nee Morris) Schmidt.
Jackie grew up in Swanton, Ohio, outside of Toledo, along with her six siblings. She graduated from Swanton High School and then became a registered nurse at the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. Later in her career she also earned her Bachelors of Nursing from Ashland University. Jackie served her community working as a nurse for more than 40 years.
On October 13, 1978 she married the love of her life, Richard Cloud, at St. Richard's Church in Swanton, Ohio. They started their family a few years later, which was always Jackie's first love. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and was an avid reader. She was always a great listener and liked to be surrounded by family and friends.
Jackie is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years Richard Cloud; loving children Jennifer Markel (Christopher), Michael Cloud (Lisa), and Cassandra Cloud; cherished grandchildren Cara, Ian, and Ryan Markel and Timothy and Allison Cloud; dear sister of Richard Schmidt (Sue), Theresa Rzonca (Roger), Janet Lett (Jack), Judy Fessenden (Lon), Kathy Huston (Vince), and Bonnie Davidson (Mike); aunt and great-aunt to many.
