Dear Mr. Lockhart and Family,

Please accept my condolences. You and Mrs. Lockhart were always very special to me. You both gave me ecourgagement and support in my teen years, and later Jackie, encouraged my wife to stay with Civil Service, which she did.

My fondest memories were watching the two of you drop off Dympia at Carver Heights Church Nursery School each day while I was waiting on the bus to go to school. Mrs. Lockhart always sat in the middle right next to you. That was inspiring, because you didn't see that many married adult people do that everyday, and I do mean every day.

It was easy to see that Jacquelyn was the love of your life, and you the love of her life.

She will be missed, but never forgotten by all who knew her.

Sincerely,

Darryl Pierce (from Columbus Ga.)

In this time of sorrow, I want you to remember that you have friends and loved ones praying for you and your family. In the New Testament, Jesus gives us comfort when he says in John 14:1-4: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." Kristie and Jackie; may God continue to bless, comfort and keep you and your family.

Lamar and family - Words cannot express my personal loss. Jackie and I worked together for so many years. I respected her so greatly for not only the professional she was, but WHO she was inside. She was a great friend and I know she was a wonderful mother and wife. There are so many here at Fort Lee who knew and loved Jackie. I have tried to notify everyone I could think of. Myself and the staff at the Mortuary Affairs Center wish you God's strength to help you through this time. You are all in our prayers.
