Rickey Tyrone Lockhart

Rickey Lockhart was born on October 11, 1952, in Panama City, Florida to the late Eddie Lee Lockhart and Mabel Peterson Johnson. At an early age he accepted Christ and was baptized at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida.

He attended Bay high school where he was a standout athlete with football being his greatest passion. Later Rickey moved to Naples Florida, where he resided until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Lee Lockhart his stepfather James E. Johnson; his daughter La Tia Cromartie; and his grandparents Clyde and Mildred Peterson.

Rickey leaves to cherish his memory his mother Mae Bell Peterson Johnson; his sons Marcus Lockhart, Kevin Lockhart, and Daidren Hill (Lockhart); his daughter, Maya hill (Lockhart); his brothers Rickey (Yvette) Johnson and Vance Johnson and his sister Saundra Johnson.

He was a proud grandfather to Marcus Lockhart, Aniya Lockhart, Kevin Lockhart, I'ziriah Crowder, I'riana Williams, Madison Hill, and Makenna Hill. He also leaves his devoted niece Chilene Garrick Dumas; his close friends Howard Hampton and Bruce; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rickey will be remembered for his strength, his love for family, and the legacy he leaves behind.
