Robert E.(Butch) Pittman, Age 80 Born April 10, 1945, in Clio Alabama unexpectedly passed away February 12, 2026, Beginning his journey to eternal life in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Robert (Butch) Beloved son of O.E. (Elwood) Gillis & Ruby (Robinett) Gillis. He graduated from Bay High School class of '63.' In 1965 he proudly served his country by enlisting in the State of Alabama National Guard serving for 6 years.
Robert (Butch) Enjoyed spending time with his beloved pug Levi and watching college football "Team of Heart Alabama" (Roll Tide). During NASCAR season, he was a fan of the Alabama gang. He worked in the food Industry for a while his real passion turned out to be an Over-The-Road Owner Operator truck driver passing many hours behind the wheel listening to Gospel & Country music which brought him joy and happiness for 30 years. The past 25 years he worked for an Armored car service. He settled in Panama City, Florida and retiring in 2023.
(Butch) is preceded in death by his parents O.E.(Elwood) and Ruby (Robinett) Gillis of Panama City, Florida. His brother-in-law Henri Chabot of Cowansville, Québec, Canada. He shared close bonds with family. Dean Robinett of Clio, Alabama, Thomas TD Jones former police chief of Enterprise, Alabama, Alice 'Wavine' Smith of Westville, Florida. Uncle Clearence and Aunt Quida Whitfield of Pace, Florida.
(Butch) leaves behind his wife Janet of 33 years and his best friend Levi a 3-year-old pug. His sister-in-law Coralie (Goodwin) Chabot and nephew Stephan Chabot of Quebec Canada. Aunt Maryannice Fenn, her son Jay & Sharon (Griffin) Fenn and Sons Garrette & Griffin Fenn and their families. Jim Fenn and family. Sharon Jones & family of Louisville, Alabama. Chancey and Tina (Robinett) Wood and Alice Robinett of Montgomery, Alabama. Tim & Angela (West) Robinett and their daughter Ella of Georgia. Linda Campbell of Prattville, Alabama her sister Voncile Norton of Georgia. Michael Quinn of Panama City, Florida. Michael's sister Linda and husband John Yeager, and family of Crestview, Florida. Michael's other sister Karen and family of Tampa, Florida. Ronald Smith of Westville, Florida. Rhonda Steverson family of Graceville, Florida. Rhonda's brother William and wife Kim Smith of Leonia, Florida, their daughters Jennifer & family of Coral Springs, Florida and her sister Tiffany.
