Jacquelyn Michele Smith, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and esteemed member of the
Paris, Kentucky agricultural community, departed this life on December 9, 2025. Born on November 10, 1975, in
New Orleans, Louisiana, Jacquelyn's infectious warmth and resilience blossomed from a young age, traits that would follow her through an exceptional life journey.
Jacquelyn's formative years instilled in her a love for the richness of life - a cherished legacy she carried with her as she built her own family and business in
Paris, Kentucky. She found her soulmate in James Smith, and together, they reared a loving family, she was the mother of three sons: Jarred Davis, Hayden Davis, and Jackson Smith. Her mother, Jacquelyn Manley, whom Jacquelyn adored deeply and is now joyfully reunited with, preceded her in death.
An embodiment of industrious spirit, Jacquelyn co-founded Smith Egg -N- Poultry Farm and was the proud owner and operator of the Paris Kentucky Poultry and Rabbit Swap. Her passion for her work was apparent to all who knew her, and her dedication to her flock was unparalleled. Jacquelyn's commitment to her community extended beyond her own ventures as she actively contributed to the local farming networks, sharing knowledge, support, and kindness to fellow farmers.
Jacquelyn's legacy extends beyond the success of her business ventures. She was a beacon of thoughtfulness in every interaction, always putting others before herself. Every life she touched was left the richer for it, and her absence will be profoundly felt by her beloved husband, children, chicken family, friends, and the broader Paris community she so dearly impacted.
Her unwavering kindness was matched only by her gentle determination. Jacquelyn's character, defined by her graciousness and compassion, engendered a deep sense of loyalty and affection from those fortunate enough to know her. Her love for her family was paralleled by the care she provided for her flock, overseeing more than 2,000 chickens with a watchful eye and gentle hand.
As we say farewell to Jacquelyn Michele Smith, we do so knowing that her nurturing spirit and loving heart have left an indelible impression that will endure in memory and inspire generations to come.
