Jacques R. Cyr

Jacques R. Cyr, 76, of Bristol, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was born on January 30, 1949 in Madawaska, Maine, son of the late Jean Paul and MarieAnge (Morneau) Cyr.

Jacques was the loving husband of the late Linda Theresa (Martin) Cyr for many years and was her best caregiver before her passing in November 2022.

He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Martin Cabinet.

He was a skilled woodworker who loved fishing on his boat and going for car rides with his dogs, but above all, what he loved most in life was his wife, daughters and grandchildren.

Jacques is survived by his daughters, Shannon Cyr of Bristol, Lisa and her husband Edward Robinson of Plainville and Stacy Cyr of GA; his grandchildren Derek Cote and his wife Chantelle, Justin Robinson and his wife Samantha, Kimberly Byrd and her wife Alyssa, Kayla and Monique Blais; his great-grandchildren Jaylen and Eli Robinson, Rosalina Traber and Jazlyn Curiel; his brothers, George and Jeanel Cyr; his sister Georgette Roy and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, Jacques was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Norman Cyr.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4PM until 6PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, CT 06010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10AM directly at St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol, followed by a burial with military honors at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
