Randolph "Randy" F. Howell, 74, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025. He was born on February 2, 1951 to the late Caleb and Felicia (Francis) Howell and was raised in Brooklyn, New York.

Randy was the loving husband of Maxine (Headley) Howell for 40 years. He was a very active member of St George's Episcopal Church in Brooklyn New York where he became an Eagle Scout. He started his law enforcement career with the New York Police Department and later moved to Connecticut and continued his career in law enforcement with the Connecticut State Police for over 30 years. While proudly serving with the Connecticut State Police, he rose through the ranks and retired as Master Sergeant.

Besides his wife, Maxine, Randy is survived by his daughter Genelle Howell of Bristol; son Randolph C. Howell of Bristol; beloved dog Onyx and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4pm until 7pm at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Bristol. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2pm directly at The Christ Church Cathedral, 45 Church St. Hartford, CT. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to The American Cancer Society, donate.cancer.org, Alzheimer's Association, donate.BrightFocus.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org.
