Steve was a longtime resident of Durant, Oklahoma. He married Paula Juan Howell on October 11, 1963 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was of Christian faith and attended Victory Life Church. He enjoyed reading and studying the bible.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Paula Juan Howell; parents Lorainne (Mugler) and Paul Howell; and brother Bob Howell.
Survivors include his son Chris Howell and wife Edie of Durant, Oklahoma; brother Jerry Howell of Caddo, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Suzy Howell of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandsons Christian Howell and wife Chelsea of Durant, Oklahoma, Collin Howell of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter Courtlan Weaver and husband Calib of Durant, Oklahoma; great granddaughters Stella Howell, Emma Howell; great grandson Carson Weaver as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N 3rd Ave. Durant, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma with Bro. Roger Speers officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. 3rd, Durant, 580-916-9090
