Jacques Andre Frottier died of cancer on May 6, 2025 at the age of 83. He was born in New York City, NY on March 10th, 1942 to Margaret (Bussemer) and Andre Alfred Frottier.
From childhood, Jacques was an avid lover of books. He spoke fondly of trips to the library with his father. He would take out many books and read them all much to the amazement of the librarians.
Jacques graduated from Darien High School (Darien, Conn.) in 1960. He went on from there to Dartmouth College, graduating in 1964 with a degree in Political Science.
After college he worked at Young and Rubicon in advertising. He went on from there to selling radio and television time. He also spent weekends serving in the National Guard in Danbury, Conn.
In 1969 Jacques married Christine Gryson and the couple lived in Chicago for a year. Moving to Birmingham, Michigan, Jacques became an agent for the Connecticut General Life Insurance Co. where he did Estate Planning. He eventually moved on to Group Insurance and became an Employee Benefits Specialist. He formed his own company in this specialty - JA Frottier and Associates.
In addition to the stint in the National Guard in Danbury, he also served in the Army Reserve. He was Honorably Discharged.
Jacques is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine and daughter, Danielle. His son, Andre, sadly passed away on April 15th of this year.
