Jacquiline (Jackie) Dean Taliaferro Street was born on Dec 7, 1930 to James C. Taliaferro and Clara Lee Medley Taliaferro at her home in Prairie Hill, Texas. She was delivered by midwife at 4:30 p.m. She passed from this life October 5, 2025, in Canton, TX, where she was residing with her daughter. Her life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on October 10, 2025 at a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard, Texas.

She was raised and attended school in Prairie Hill, Texas where she enjoyed riding horses and reading in her spare time. Legend has it, she enjoyed riding her horse bareback while standing up on her way to school. Upon graduation, she wrote an award-winning essay giving her a scholarship to business college in Fort Worth.

She married Leon Collins on October 20, 1948. The marriage produced the light of her life, her daughter Beverly, but ended in divorce in 1964. Jackie and Beverly attended Rosen Heights Baptist Church in Fort Worth.

She started as a clerk typist at First Bank of Fort Worth and then served as a loan officer for many years. Her customers always came first, which is why she developed many rewarding relationships with her customers. Her exemplary performance was recognized when she was named the Manager of First of Ft Worth's new Mini Bank, their first branch bank. She remained as Manager until her retirement after 30 years of service to the bank. Even after retiring from First Bank, she was recruited to work at Arlington National Bank as a loan officer for another few years. During her First Bank years, she formed a friendship with Molly Hilliard, a friendship she treasured for more than 70 years.

Jackie married Bobby Lane Street on November 11, 1977. They moved to Haslet, Texas but enjoyed traveling the world. Their home in Haslet provided the gathering place for their family, and it's where their grandchildren fondly remember so many holidays.

While in Haslet, Bob and Jackie were active in Haslet Methodist Church.

In 2020, Jackie moved to Canton where she was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Beverly, until her passing earlier this week.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Taliaferro, her brother James Taliaferro, her husband Bob Street, her son John Street, and her niece Debra Taliaferro.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Temple and Nancy Porter, a niece, Linda Holt, a nephew, Stephen Taliaferro, 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
