Jacqueline I. Lanctot passed away on 12/29/2024 from complications due to a fall.
She was born on November 29th, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to Floyd & Marguerite Northup. As an only child, her companions were a riding horse named 'King', and an Irish Setter named 'Red'. Living on a farm in Flushing, Michigan, she always lived her country life.
After graduating from high school, she went to Hurley Hospital School of Nursing, and graduated in 1951. Her forty years of working as a nurse was one of many experiences, but her most rewarding was her years as an educator of student nurses at her Alma-mater, Hurley.
She furthered her education with a BA degree in Health Education from University of Detroit. Her father, Floyd, passed away in 1986. After retiring in 1990, she and her mother, Marguerite, moved to Oscoda, Michigan, and enjoyed life on Lake Van Ettan, but the severe winters had them packing their bags and moving to Mesa, Arizona to share a home with her 2 older sons in 1997.
She enjoyed her time as an active member of the Michigan Club, where she made many new friends. After her mother died in 2001, and her sons moved to Phoenix to be with their respective partners, she sold her home and moved to a condo in Phoenix. She is survived by her sons Kirk, Kevin and Keith, Kirk's wife Tina, and Kevin's partner Robert.
She was cremated at Hansen Funeral Home, and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, she asked that a donation be made to any animal rescue organization, or other agencies such as Hospices or Cancer research.
