Jada Teanecka Smith

It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Ms. Jada Teanecka Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 27, 2026, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens, 4037 N. Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32303.

Born in Tallahassee, Jada was a 2002 graduate of Edward H. White High School. She was a longtime Associate (Adjuster) at Progressive Insurance. She regularly worshipped at Bethel Institutional Baptist Church and was regarded as a talented Musician (Trombonist). She received her Associate degree from Florida Community, her Bachelor's from Ashford University and her Master's in Business Administration. Gada was a die-hard FAMU Rattler and an equally strong supporter of the Jacksonville Jaguars. She leaves her love and memory to her loving parents: James C. and Josephine Knight Smith; siblings: Frandoris Harris, LeElvy (Sharon) Smith, Sandi Marie Anderson and Joderia Smith Wilson; her family: Jazz Zamor and Tyler Whigham; nieces and nephews: LeAsia, Jamilia, Selwyn, Katelyn, Jordyn, DJ, Amir and Logan; aunts: Jackye (Roy) Moore, Maggie Carruthers, Daisy Kent and Irene Jones; uncles: Roosevelt and Charlie Knight; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Ms. Smith and to serve the Smith Family.
