We are saddened to share that Latitia Monique Thurman, a cherished member of our family, passed away Monday, March 17th, 2025.
Latitia was born September 23, 1983 to her parents Ralph Eugene Thurman and Sheriel Hickson-Green.
She attended local schools and graduated from Edward H. White High School.
Growing up with the love of music, fashion, makeup and hair, Latitia combined these passions and obtained her cosmetologist license at Howard College in Big Spring, Texas where she then met a host of friends who became family.
Under the tutelage of Pastor Michael B. Willard at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, she strengthened her relationship with God, joined the choir, and introduced the world of stepping to the youth.
She adored and remained by her grandmother Doris' side, the only person to call her Monique, until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Doris Thurman and Jean Hickson; and uncles, Roderick Davis, John Moore Jr., and James Hickson.
Leaving behind to celebrate her life are her parents; siblings, Brandon Green, DoMoneek Townsend, Carlita Williams (Johnny), Tahlea Green, Carl Green Jr. (Neve) and William Green (Martha), Javier Davis, and Destiny Davis; aunts, Rosalind Wallace, Stephanie Council, Audrey Brown, and Gayle Drummer; uncle, Donald Brown; bonus
dad, "Pops" Carl Green Sr. along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
