Jaden D. Gutting, 22, of Mendon, IL (formerly of Clayton, IL), passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, near Camp Point, IL.
Born May 15, 2003, in Quincy, IL, Jaden was the son of Charles "Chuck" Gutting and Jessica Rachelle Beckman.
Jaden was employed as an oil and tire technician at Shottenkirk in Quincy. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, especially archery deer hunting, had a passion for fishing, and was also known for being a true “gearhead.” He was a 2021 graduate of Central High School.
Survivors include his mother, Jessica Beckman (Harlen) of Mendon; his father, Chuck Gutting of Clayton; his sister, Katie Bennett (Caleb Cobb) of Clayton; his niece, Evelynn Marie Bennett of Clayton; his maternal grandparents, Jay and Debbie Post of Clayton; his aunt, Jennifer Conover (Steve) of Coatsburg; his uncle, Jared Post of Paloma; a very special little friend, Colsen (Courtney), his beloved dog, Remi; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Betty Nichols and Vaden Gutting.
Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of Jaden's life will be held Saturday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m.at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
Memorials may be made to the family.
