Jaedon Amari Griffin

Jaedon A. Griffin was born on September 19, 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida. He confessed Christ at an early age uniting with St. Andrew Missionary Baptist, where he was baptized and grew up surrounded by love, faith and family. He attended local schools in Duval County with recently graduating from Sandalwood High School.
Jaedon was known for his big heart, bright smile and kind spirit. A talented athlete, Jaedon played JV basketball while at Sandalwood. He also enjoyed bowling, playing in a league for several years, where his competitive nature and sense of fun made him a joy to be around.
While in High School, Jaedon began working at Costco, where he brought the same energy, teamwork and friendliness that made him so admired by those around him. Proud to take the next step into adulthood, Jaedon planned to join the Air National Guard, always striving to grow and achieve another goal. Whether on the court, in the lanes, at work or spending time with family, Jaedon brought energy and warmth to everything he did.
He is survived by his Mother, Jakeia Griffin; Dad and Step Mom, Brandon and Meldreana Alvin; brothers, Jermaine Alvin, Nickalos Alvin, Darius Alvin and Marcus Alvin; Sisters, Tiyana Anderson and Shaila Nathan; Nephews, Carter and Zion;
Grandparents, Valerie Reddick, Johnnie Griffin (Johnnie Mae), Mitchell Alvin, Cynthia Alvin-Thompson (Martin), and Melvin and Denise Morris; Great Grandmother, Claudezeal Alvin; Uncles, Cecil Reddick, Clyde Griffin (Tinisha), Nate King, Mitchell Alvin, and Claude Alvin (Janae); aunts, Jimeka Alvin (Karmen) and Annette Wilson (James); Bonus Aunts and Uncles, Shontell, Tianta, Deangelo, Melkevia and Arthur Ivey, James and Sonji Monroe, Mitchell B.; a circle of friends and extended family who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward always.
Though his time with us was far too short, Jaedon left an everlasting impact. His laughter, kindness, and love will never be forgotten.
