It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jaime Antonio Naranjo Sr., after a long battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, on November 13, 2025, with his family at his bedside. Born on October 19, 1972, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Antonio spent his early years in the Los Encinos neighborhood of Corpus Christi and Robstown, Texas, where he attended Robstown High School. He went on to Austin, Texas, where he became a seasoned electrician and tattoo artist. He was a loving father, son, uncle and friend.
Antonio had a love for travel, dance and laughter. He was an artist and self-trained tattoo artist who proudly designed and created artwork for numerous family members and friends. He was also an avid coin collector. He found joy in finding and researching coins he found throughout his many travels and adventures. He would sit for hours with his magnifying glass, examining each coin with great care and respect.
Antonio was a devoted Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns fan (Hook 'em!). He enjoyed watching and attending games with his brother and sons. Antonio found thrill in gambling at nearby casinos and trying his hand at scratch off tickets. He was often successful in his winnings and those close to him found him to be their own lucky penny. You could often find him at the center of attention of any audience, singing and dancing. His huge smile and large presence will forever be deeply missed.
Jaime Antonio Naranjo Sr. is preceded in death by his Mami and Papi, Martin & Tomasa Naranjo and son, Anthony Naranjo. He is survived by his mother Norma Naranjo of Austin, Texas, daughter Ashley Marie Rocha and husband Leroy of Corpus Christi, Texas, son Jaime Antonio Naranjo Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, son Fransisco Borjas of Smithville, Texas, son Bryzen Lucifer Naranjo of Grand Prairie, Texas, grandchildren Ricardo P. Rivera Jr., Dramerzae A. Rivera, Jose A. Rivera, Luciano A. Naranjo, Gottiano J. Martinez, and Giovanni L. Rocha, along with numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in the Austin and Corpus Christi areas.
A Celebration of Life and visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, at Maxwell P Dunne Funeral Service located at 5921 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78414 from 4-9pm. To honor his love for the UT Longhorns, attendees are asked to wear burnt orange and UT apparel. The family will hold a gathering at a location and time to be determined.
The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and caregivers at Parkland Memorial Hospital for their kindness, support and care shown to Antonio and loved ones during his stay.
