Jose Jaime Orozco, known affectionately as Jaime to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Loma Linda, California, at the age of 63. Born on November 12, 1961, in Zacatecas, Mexico, Jaime brought warmth and joy to all who knew him.
Jaime's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his craft. A skilled cement mason for over three decades, he took great pride in the tangible legacy he built, one of strength and permanence. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his hands skillfully shaped the world around him, just as his presence shaped the lives of those he loved.
In his personal life, Jaime was the embodiment of love and friendliness. His wife, Sara Orozco, stood by his side as a testament to their enduring love. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including children Cristal Orozco, Leslie Lopez-Orozco, Jimmy Orozco, and Aaron Orozco. He also had his son Marcos Astorga before marrying Sara. His father, Angel Orozco. His eight grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent surrounded by their laughter and boundless energy.
Jaime's kinship extended to his nine siblingsLeticia, Lucila, Irma, Francisco, Miguel, Marcelo, Saul, Jesus, and Hugowho will forever remember him as the cornerstone of their close-knit family. His role as a brother was marked by a playful camaraderie and a deep sense of protection and guidance.
A man of many interests, Jaime found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fan of the Dodger baseball team, and his loyalty to the sport was as steadfast as his love for his family. His home in Mexico held a special place in his heart, and he relished the opportunity to travel back to his roots, immersing himself in the vibrant culture and reconnecting with his heritage.
Jaime's hands were rarely still, for he was always found tinkering and improving his home, ensuring that it was not only a place of comfort but also a reflection of his handy and creative spirit. His love for his family was mirrored in the care he took to create a warm and welcoming environment for them.
Above all, Jaime's greatest joy was the time he spent with his family. Whether it was a boisterous family gathering, a quiet evening at home, or a trip to a Dodger game, these moments were the ones he cherished most. His laughter and love filled their home, creating memories that will be treasured by his loved ones forever.
Jaime's legacy is one of love, friendship, and hard work. He leaves behind a world that is brighter for his having been in it and a family that will continue to honor his memory through their own lives. His spirit, characterized by his loving nature and his ability to bring people together, will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
