Jake Raymond Chimento entered into eternal rest on December 28, 2025. Beloved husband of Darlene Blanchard Chimento. Father of Stacy C. Capote (Jerry). Grandfather of Aubrey Capote and Riley Capote. Son of the late Francis Chimento and Maria Esperanza Chimento. Brother of Linda Johno (late William), Patricia Segura (Douglas), Angela Colson (late Dennis), and Francis Chimento Jr. (Cindy). Son-in-law of Marion Blanchard and brother-in-law of Gary Blanchard (Paulette), Lynn Nettleton, Cathy Blanchard, and Danny Blanchard (Debbie). Former husband of Donna Dufrene and brother-in-law to Derek Dufrene, Sonny Dufrene, and Dale Dufrene. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age 77 years and a lifelong resident of Marrero. Jake was a family man and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to play music and was an avid fisherman.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time.
