Jake Douglas Thompson of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Thursday, February 27, 2025,in Van Buren. He was born on January 24, 1998, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Murry Lance Thompson and Angela Fae (Simmons) Thompson. He was 27 years old. Jake was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Steve Thompson; and a cousin, Hunter Morris.
Jake was a 2016 graduate of Van Buren High School. He enjoyed bowling, camping, and was an avid L.A. Dodgers fan. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Lance Thompson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his mother, Angie Thompson of Van Buren; a brother, Taylor Thompson and wife Shelby of Bartlesville; his paternal grandmother, Elaine Thompson of Bartlesville; grandparents, Linda and Steve Morris of Alma; and maternal grandparents, Fred and Karen Simmons of Mountainburg; and also aunts, uncles, and cousins.
